E-scooters - Term 4 Blitz
We have been advised that the use of scooters is presenting as a problem again in Torquay and our local police have received a high volume of expressions of concern from our local community members and businesses. As a result, our local police are looking to commence an operation in Term 4.
In cooperation and support with our local police, please take time to have a look at the attached flyer. This flyer will be handed out by police to students if they have been intercepted as a formal warning before adopting a zero tolerance approach.
If you have any further queries, please contact your local police station for further information.
Face Masks on Public Transport
Please note that the community are required to wear face masks whilst travelling on Public Transport.
DET Mobile Phone Policy Reminder
In accordance with the Department’s Mobile Phones Policy issued by the Minister for Education, personal mobile phones must not be used at Surf Coast Secondary College during school hours, including lunchtime and recess (including in the Canteen for payments), unless an exception has been granted.
Please note: if your child presents unwell in class, they are to go straight to the Administration Office and see the First Aid leader. They are not to contact home from their mobile phone, iPad or MacBook requesting someone to collect them. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
