What were you doing before you started working at SCSC in 2012?
Working with Sea All Dolphin swims in Queenscliff and instruction Surfing/kayaking with Southern Exposure while completing my Diploma of teaching at Ballarat University.
 
What has been the biggest change to the College since you started back in 2012?
The size of the school. Having started at the school when there were just the Year 7s and a handful of teachers it has grown dramatically.
 
What has been the most positive or influential moment during your career at SCSC?
Seeing such a positive school community that impacts students, teachers and the wider community.
Having students rewarded for their efforts in design and technology subjects by completing awards/competitions.
Students being proud of their work they have completed in class.
Building connections with students that have a positive effect on their lives.

How has your time at the College impacted you both professionally and personally?
Surf Coast Secondary college continues to lead me in new directions, through reflecting and learning it still is supporting my passion to continue to gain greater knowledge and strive for the best version of myself professionally and personally.
 
 
What are you looking forward to about the future of SCSC and your role working with young people here?
I have really enjoyed working in a different areas such as the tutoring role it has let me focus on students wellbeing and lets me spend more time with the students to help them achieve their personal goals.
