St Mary of the Cross MacKillop

Last Sunday 17th October, marked the 11th anniversary of the canonisation of Australia's first saint - Mary of the Cross MacKillop.  This is especially important for our school, St Joseph's, as we were founded by the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of St Joseph - St Mary's order.  We remember this day and pray for St Mary to intercede in our prayers.

Crazy Hair Day for Catholic Mission

"How can we keep from speaking?"

A big thank you to students and staff for your enthusiasm and craziness last Friday for our Crazy Hair Day fundraiser.  You raised an impressive $90 in gold coin donations!  This money will be sent through to the Catholic Mission organisation and used to provide much needed resources for the Kindergarten in Thailand.

What's next you may ask?  On Friday of Week 4, 29th October - and to mark the conclusion of Mission Month - students and staff are invited to wear Silly Socks...stay tuned for a flyer later in the week!

Sacrament of Reconciliation

The decision has been made to postpone the Sacrament of Reconciliation this year.  This sacrament is available to any baptised student from Year 2 upwards.
