PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

Carly Avery

Dear Parents and Friends,

Welcome to Term Four! It has been great to see our junior students on-site and back into learning this week.

Please be aware that as a school there are a range of protocols to be followed, including cleaning procedures, wearing of masks, visitors on site etc. which we continue to follow. You have received a letter this week from CES outlining details regarding staff vaccines. This will also apply to any adult on staff including contractors, allied health professionals, parent volunteers and visitors etc. There will be more information to come on this topic.

Thank you to those parents who continue to keep unwell students at home.  Please contact the school if a member of your family has tested positive or been identified as a close contact. All details are kept private. A reminder also to use the QR code if you need to enter the office at all and not to gather during drop off or pickups.

A big thank you to our Parent Reps who organised a thank you for our classroom teachers to celebrate National Teachers Day yesterday!

Staffing Updates

As planned Imogen Thomas (Learning Support Officer) will finish up working with us on Friday 22nd October. We congratulate Imogen on recently completing her Teaching Degree. Imogen will be travelling for the rest of the year. I would like to thank Imogen for her contribution to the St. Joseph’s community during her time here, she will be missed!

I can share that her role will be filled by Deanne Morey (Monday- Wednesday) and Rachael Cavallin (Thursday and Friday). Both ladies come to us highly recommended and we look forward to welcoming them formally to our community. Deanne has a counselling background, and Rachael has also recently completed a teaching degree.

2021 School Fees

School fee statements were emailed to all families this week.  We would like to thank all of our families for making payments on your accounts, particularly during these past couple of years in what has been difficult times for us all. If you find you are struggling to pay this year's fees by the 17th December 2021, please don't hesitate to contact Carly or Taryn at the school office to discuss payment options.
