Important Reminders:

We have been hit with another vomiting and diarrhoea bug at Western Heights.

The effects are very unpleasant. It is particularly uncomfortable for children if it hits them before they can get safely to a toilet. It is bad enough catching the bug, but when it hits in the middle of the classroom, it is upsetting for the poor child - and not very pleasant for classmates.

Our rules around these bugs are very clear:

If your child has a stomach bug, vomiting and/or diarrhea, they must stay home for 48 hours. No ifs or buts - stay home for 48 hours.

It is also important that your child has a change of clothes with them at school.

If they are caught out by vomiting and/or diarrhoea, they will need a change of clothes.

This season, it is even more important to have that change of clothes because of the incessant rain. Rain creates puddles and mud, often irresistible to children - especially boys!

Two little guys were covered in mud this week but then washed themselves off in a giant puddle. Boys being boys is great, but in these cases, a change of clothes is a must.

Covid-19 is Returning

If your child has Covid-19, we need to know. Please make sure you inform our office. Messaging or emailing your child's teacher as well as our Office is much appreciated.
