New International Students

Tiffany Wong, international student from Hong Kong  

It has been almost three months since I came to Australia from Hong Kong and joined Kilvington’s loving community as a Year 10 student.

On my very first day here, I remember being welcomed by many nice people and friendly teachers, which made me feel a sense of belonging and acceptance. However, I still felt very nervous and worried about adapting to a new environment and having to socialise with new people. 

I am grateful that the students and teachers have always made sure I felt comfortable and welcomed by them. This has helped me a lot with fitting in and becoming a part of Kilvington, alongside the other students. 

Overall, I would say that my journey here so far has been pleasant and fulfilling. There have been a lot of interesting activities to do and events to participate in. 

I am really grateful to have already made wonderful friends and to have met so many amazing people in Term 1. I’ve been having a great time and look forward to spending more time at Kilvington in the near future.
