NEW - National Simultaneous Storytime 2023
NEW - 3/4 Science
Grade 3/4 Science classes have been learning and exploring engineering the past term. With their knowledge they have worked in groups designing and building a bridge out of spaghetti. As a group they delegated roles to each other including; glue gun operator, measurer, cutter and foreman. The students' challenge was to build a bridge that will support weights, work as a team and support each other to learn new skills.
This week the testing on the bridges took place with some exciting discoveries with one bridge carrying a total of 14.9 kg before it started showing signs of structural stress. The rest of the bridges will be tested next week.
