Student achievements

Congratulations to the following students:

Amber Morrisby, Sofia Stacey, Giorgia Nichols, Annabelle Macey, Lucy Holeywell, Isabel Hordern and Alice Finnegan (Year 6), who have emerged as champions at the Futsal Tasmania Southern School Titles. The students displayed exceptional skills, determination and teamwork throughout the competition, showcasing their passion for futsal and battling hard in every game. A very well-deserved win. Well done!

Sasha Bennett (Year 8), Georgina Stringer (Year 8), Hal Cormack (Year 9) and Hannah Lucas (Year 11), who participated in the Southern Tasmania Final of Rostrum Voice of Youth public speaking competition on Saturday 6 May at The Friends' School.

The students prepared a six to eight-minute speech (selected from Rostrum's topic list) and presented a 'short notice' speech, with 15 minutes of preparation. While the students missed out on selection for the regional final, all spoke well, presenting thoughtful and moving speeches and representing the College beautifully. We are very proud of them.

Iris Bouwmeester (Year 12), who was selected in the state representative team for the Pizzey Cup tournament, which is underway in Canberra this week. Good luck, Iris! We look forward to hearing all about the experience upon your return home.
