What's happening in the 3/4 rooms?
On Thursday May 18th we were so lucky to have Merindah - Gunya (Bailey) came to Caulfield Junior College.
Merindah-Gunya is a proud Kirrae and Peek Wurrong woman of the Gundjitmara nation in South-West Victoria.
She came to Caulfield Junior College to work with us and create some outdoor art pieces.
We were able to create our learning journeys on totem poles that will be placed around the school.
“I chose to put a boomerang because I know a lot about them”
-Naomi
“I chose possum tracks because every Saturday we see possums in our garden”
-Gabe
“I chose stars because every morning I see them out my window”
-Jett
“I chose kangaroo tracks because I like feeding kangaroos”
-Raph
“I liked the experience because it was engaging”
-Myles
“I can’t wait to see what the final poles will look like”
-Aidan
These pieces will also be linked to Reconciliation week.

Fire Education for the Preps
This morning our Prep cohort had the visit of fire fighters and their fire truck. After learning about safety and security around fires, the students had the opportunity to visit and see the equipment in action.
Ce matin, nos élèves de grande section ont eu la visite des pompiers et de leur camion. Ils ont reçu de l'information sur la sécurité autour du feu et ont eu la chance de visiter le camion de pompier et de voir les équipements en action.
