Student Achievements

Scott Kelley (Yr. 8) has recently won 1st place in the junior division of the Prints of Whales photography competition held in South Australia.

Scott won first place with this image captioned ‘King of The Rock’ (below). This photo also made it into the finals of the People’s Choice category.

The first-place prize for the junior division was $250 cash and an annual family pass to the SA Whale Centre. Scott's winning photo will also be featured in a saleable calendar for 2020.  

Another of his photos (below) also made it into the finals of two categories (People’s Choice & Junior Talent).

We are often asked by parents for contact details of anyone we know that provides Secondary School tutoring. Just this week we received information from Bonnie Edgecomb, a newly arrived resident to Strathalbyn with her husband Matthew who is the new pastor at the local Lutheran Church.

Bonnie is a teacher/tutor offering high school tutoring to students in Strathalbyn and surrounding areas, particularly in the area of Senior English, Research Project and HASS, along with other Middle School subjects.
