Administration Matters
A reminder about some fast approaching events and dates for the last week of term and the School holiday break. Please refer back to these dates throughout the holidays if unsure.
ELC Graduation - Wednesday 11 December at 10:30am in Gymnasium
Family and friends are invited to join us as we celebrate a wonderful year graduate our Pre School children. Come early for a great seat, with morning tea to be served at the ELC following the celebration.
Primary Presentation & Year 6 Graduation Night - Wednesday 11 December at 6:30pm in Gymnasium
All children are to arrive at their respective classes at 6:15pm with the evening to commence in the Gymnasium at 6:30pm. All students to be well presented, wearing their summer school uniform.
We look forward to seeing each child recognised for their achievements in 2019 and join with our wonderful class of Year 6 students as they celebrate the end of their primary years and look ahead to what Secondary School will bring. It will be a fabulous night as always.
Last Day of Term 4 - Casual clothes day
Last day of term and the school year is Thursday 12 December 2019, with the school day finishing at the normal time of 3:15pm. Buses will run as per their normal schedule. Last day of term is Casual Clothes Day. We ask that each student brings along a gold coin donation as these funds all go to support our 2 sponsor children, Ramata and Roshan.
2020 Booklists
Booklists have gone home with your children. It is preferable that you place your order online as per the instructions on the back page of the order form. If you are having any difficulty with ordering, please see me in the office or give me a call and I am happy to assist where required. If ordering online is not an option for you, please return your completed form with payment details for Lighthouse Books to process later this month.
It is recommended that you wait until your children finish their school year and bring home their supplies as there may be some stationery items that you are able to use next year, saving you having to purchase new again. All items on the list are required items but not all may need to be purchased new.
Price increase - Due to a suppliers increase in costs to manufacture the Tyndale logo calico library bags, please note that the new price when ordering this product is now $6.60.
2019 Year Book
Each family will receive one complimentary copy of the 2019 Year Book. It's our way of saying thanks for your support throughout the year. The Year Books will be available for pick up on Stationery Collection Day in the New Year. Extra copies can be purchased on collection if more than one copy is required.
Office Closure
The Administration Office will remain open until 4:00pm on Friday 20 December 2019.
The office will reopen on Monday 20 January 2020 at 8:30am.
2020 School Fee Invoices
We anticipate the 2020 School Fee invoices will be available for collection on Thursday 23 January and Friday 24 January 2020. Any school fee queries during the holidays can be directed to Rihet at RihetOosthuizen@tyndale.sa.edu.au and she will get back to you on her return to work.
Uniform Shop hours
The Uniform Shop will be open from 8:30am to 4:30pm on both Thursday 23 January and Friday 24 January 2020. Any uniform queries or orders can be directed to Sue Dalton at sdalton47@live.com.au.
Our Uniform Policy and Uniform Price List are found on our School website. Please refer to these documents with any queries regarding what is expected.
Stationery Collection Days
All orders of Stationery through Lighthouse Books will be delivered to the School in early January.
We ask that families with surnames A - M collect on Thursday 23 January 2020 and families with surnames N - Z collect on Friday 24 January 2020. Please feel free to swap your day if you have prior commitments on your allocated day.
Please arrive and check in at the Auditorium reception. Each day will operate between the hours of 8:30am and 4:30pm.
Secondary Lockers
All students in Year 7 to 11 will be assigned a locker for their school bags, books and laptops. A locker hire agreement form will be available on Stationery Collection day with a hire fee of $20 for the ongoing maintenance, cleaning and repair of the locks and lockers.
Vacation Care / Early Learning Centre
For any last minute bookings for Vacation Care, please contact the ELC office on 8536 5422 or at Strathalbyn.ELC@tyndale.sa.edu.au Limited vacancies are available with programs available in the Front Office.
2020 Bus Travel
If you have been a family that has had a permanent bus booking in 2019 for your children, please note that we will carry this arrangement through to 2020 unless advised otherwise. Any changes to your child's travel needs can be sent to strathalbyn@tyndale.sa.edu.au
2020 Back to School - Monday 3 February 2020
