Term 4 School Closure Day

The school closure day for Term 4 is on Monday 5th November for staff professional development.  Children do not attend school on that day.

Car Park and Building Update

Last term the parking bay lines and KEEP CLEAR signs were repainted in our car park. Please observe the markings and only park in the designated parking bays.

The KEEP CLEAR signs mean exactly that! Please do not park or stop your car in these areas. They are not drop off zones and neither are the lanes between the rows of parking bays. We ask that all parents park their car and ensure children are walked through the car park so they arrive safely at school each day. We still have drivers parking and stopping on the KEEP CLEAR signs! The safety of all our children is paramount and we all need to work together to ensure that they arrive and are collected safely each day.

During the holidays the children's toilet block was renovated. The toilets, cubicle partitions, tiles and flooring have all been replaced. There are a few minor details to be completed which will be done after hours this week.

In the next few weeks our new Year 1/2 Learning Community will be ready for us to move into and then Stage 3 will commence with the renovation of our current Prep Learning Community and the development of our new Library Discovery Centre.

Sun Smart

As per our Sunsmart Policy, during Term 4 all children are expected to wear their school hat during morning recess, lunch time and outdoor PE lessons. Children who do not have their hat at school will be expected to play in the shaded areas.

Summer Uniform

By the commencement of Week 3 it is expected that all children will be wearing their correct summer uniform. Over the next two weeks we have our transition period where students can choose whether to wear their summer or winter uniform dependent upon the weather.

Please do not mix and match uniforms.

Student Portfolios

We hope you have had the opportunity to explore with your child the portfolio over the holiday period and have celebrated their successes. We ask that the portfolios are now returned to your child’s teacher so that we can commence compiling samples for Term 4.

Have a wonderful week

God bless

Jane Wilkinson
