Dear Brookside Community

Winter is no longer coming!

At May’s School Council meeting, we were pleased to be able to approve a multitude of activities for students across the College. Stay tuned for further information later in the year on the following

- Grade 3 camp (Nov 6-8)

- Grade 5 camp (Jul 24-26)

- Year 7 camp (May 22-24)

- Year 9 camp (Aug 14-16)

- Year 9 Outdoor Ed Surfing trip (June 6)

- Year 9 Outdoor Ed Rock climbing trip (June 27)

- Fathers Day Stall (Aug 28)

We finalised our Standing Orders, which included establishing the subcommittees required to assist in decision making for the council.

Playgrounds were discussed and this item has been referred to the Buildings and Grounds subcommittee to further investigate options.

As many parents will be aware, there have been changes to the parking in Stephenson Crescent. These changes have been made by Melton Council to increase safety for students. Please respect the No Standing zones, they are there to improve drivers ability to see children on the pedestrian crossings.

Please also refrain from parking in the bus zones near the tennis club. Excursions and camps have kicked off in Term 2 and there will regularly be buses returning to College at the end of the school day. Again, these bus zones are there for the safety of our children.

Please don't hesitate to approach any School Council Members with your questions, we are your representatives and all care about the children's experience at the school.

Kind regards

Rachel Morgan
