First of all, congratulations to our Futures Awards winners for our second rotation which were presented at our Sector assembly last week!

On Wednesday May 22 our Year 9s participated in their second Seminar Day for the year. We left school early and travelled to Southbank in the city to participate in a day about harnessing our future and making the most of opportunities.

We watched the documentary Generation Inspired by the Ambisie Organisation. The documentary includes many different entrepreneurs telling inspiring stories about how they never gave up on their dreams and passions despite hardships.

We also heard from some guest speakers about how they achieved their dreams.

It is safe to say our Year 9's are feeling ready to go and motivated for the futures that lay ahead of them after their time here at Brookside!

Our 3rd rotation for Futures continues every Wednesday until 17 July (Week 1 next Term.) Every Wednesday the Year 9 classes will be completing the following units:

9A – Create and Brookside Service

9B – Careers and Create

9C – City Experience

9D – MAT Program and Morals & Ethics

9E – Healthy Lifestyles and Relationships

Our next Seminar Day will be held on Wednesday 24 July right here at school with some exciting activities happening…stay tuned!
