Camfield Socks and Kicks Fundraising Day

Today, the school jumped at the chance to wear their favourite shoes and socks as part of Camfield's Socks and Kicks fundraiser. From Ugg boots to sneakers bearing the image of a favourite Science teacher through to pretty yellow socks with bees on them and socks adorned with ribbons and bows, students showed their support. Icy poles were sold at lunch in all subschools and even the cooler weather did not deter the Junior School, in particular, from their treats.

While the final tally is still to be confirmed, a quick count of the donations means that nearly $700 will go to support our sponsor child, Sokmey, at the Light of Hope Children's Village, Cambodia. Sokmey is twelve years old and loves to swim and play soccer. Hopefully, next year, we can bring back the teachers v students soccer game but this year, Socks for Sokmey and the selling of icy poles has allowed us to give back and support someone who is less fortunate than us. Thank you to everyone who supported Camfield in this event.

GSG P&F Colour Run

Students are looking forward to the GSG P&F Colour Run on 6 April, to celebrate the end of term.  And nothing makes a celebration better than sharing the joy!  Whilst we spray around some colour, we can also spray around some kindness by fundraising for the Albany Youth Association and Ronald McDonald House. Collect donations in the lead up to the big event HERE, or simply bring along a cash donation on the day.
