Virtual Assembly

At this week’s assembly for Middle and Senior School, it was wonderful to hear our School Captains, Andrew Smith and Ellie Slatter speak positively to the students about their continuing support of the Student Code of Conduct.  Paige Narkle was presented with a framed memento of her watermark that will appear on all Griffins sport uniforms.  She further explained how the artwork was developed, this detail is available on MyGSG.

Year Seven Activity Day

On Tuesday, the Year Seven students walked the Luke Pen Walk.  This walk trail closely follows the Kalgan River and offers a lovely mix of vegetation from large marri trees to farming pastures.  The students then returned along the river on the Kalgan Queen along the Kalgan River.  It was a wonderful opportunity enjoy the environment and the fresh air.

VET Show

Four classes of keen VET Music students have been working hard to prepare a wide range of music from classics of the 70’s and 80’s to current artists. We are all so grateful to still be able to deliver a performance this term. Exciting performances were on show on Thursday from a new group of Year Eleven students, while the experienced Year Twelve students continue to grow in confidence taking on more challenging songs. We congratulate the GSG staff and VET Music students for all the hard work that went into making this performance possible.

Hand sanitisers

The School has invested in new hand sanitiser stations which will be placed around the School to encourage students, staff and visitors to maintain good hand hygiene.  These devices are clearly identified and set-up, so people do not have to touch surfaces to sanitise.  Eliminating common touch surfaces is another way in which the School is mitigating the risk of spread of infection.  They are easily identified and more convenient.
