Middle Years

myPEC students have achieved a great deal

Term One has been busy and the myPEC students have achieved a great deal.

The Year 7s have begun the transition into their secondary education well. I’ve been pleased with the way that they have all embraced new teachers, new subjects and a new campus. It feels like they have been in the myPEC for a long time now.

I’ve been very proud of the way the Year 8s have been inclusive of other year levels. As a group they have an air of kindness and a desire to do well academically. They are beginning to look beyond themselves and thinking about others. I do hope that this continues throughout the year.

Year 9s have begun their Micah Program journey with the Grampians Retreat and their first Micah Day last week. For Term One, the Micah Program focusses on the College value of respect and students applied this value to developing respectful relationships. A big thank you to Miss Amy Andrews for all of her hard work in organising the Micah day along with the fast approaching City Experience, which the Year 9s should be looking forward to in Week 2 of next term. Please make sure that consent information and accommodation forms for the City Experience are all returned ASAP.

Please take the time to review your son/daughter’s Term One report. This includes important learning advice from each of their teachers and provides pertinent ideas for improvement. These reports are accessible on PAM. If you would like to discuss your student’s progress, please make sure to book a Parent/Teacher/Student interview time for Tuesday 26 April.

After such a positive start to the 2022 school year, I wish you all a safe and relaxing break and a happy Easter. I look forward to the Middle Years students meeting the challenges that await them in Term Two.
