Brisbane Clinics Update
Hello friends and families!
We had a wonderful time at the Brisbane Disability Provider and Connection Expo last weekend. Thanks to those of you who stopped by. There were many highlights, but a favourite for us was meeting the goats! Did you see them? We were right beside the balloon artists, and they were pretty amazing to watch too! Check out our photos on our Community Connections page.
We have now turned our sights to the upcoming Moreton Kids Festival!
Online tickets have completely sold out so we hope if you were planning on going, you have managed to secure your spot. We look forward to seeing you at the Kids Festival in Early Start Australia's Quiet Zone! The Quiet Zone is a safe space at Moreton Kids Festival, designed to accommodate children and families struggling with sensory overload. Thank you to Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism (MBRIT) for trusting us with this space, and for their recognition of our expertise supporting families who have additional needs. Festival dates are below.
We have updated our school holiday program information and have some groups still taking registrations for Term 2. Check out Page 2 to see what we have on offer this time.
In this edition we're showcasing our Dietetics Services. Page 3 introduces Dietitian Kate who is based at our Springfield clinic, and provides information about this exciting addition to Early Start Australia's service offerings.
Our feature article is about Autism Health Literacy - What is it and why is it important? Find out on page 5!

Can't make an appointment?
Best practice, and the most successful, effective therapy programs, incorporate more than just weekly or fortnightly therapy appointments.
It's important and necessary that your therapist:
- collaborates with your child's other health care professionals, educators and other care givers
- clearly documents progress and reviews your treatment plan regularly
- provides feedback, education and support to parents
- creates therapy resources, therapy aids and other tailored materials to support therapy at home
We will always aim to optimise your funding and continue to work conscienciously towards your child's therapy goals by providing these additional services. These services are invoiced as 'non face to face ' time and we will always convert your cancelled appointment to time dedicated to your child where it is clinically appropriate. Please talk to our client services team or your therapist if you have any questions about your child's therapy program.
