Parents & Friends Committee Update

Ample cafe in Howard street North Melbourne hosted the parents Morning tea recently

From Parents and Friends Committee

Parents and Friends Morning Tea at Ample Cafe

The recent Parents and Friends morning tea was a success with 20 parents and members of our school community coming together to enjoy a hot beverage together at Ample Cafe.  While we were certainly hungry for the delicious pastries and fruit provided by the cafe, the group was even hungrier for conversation!  Uninterrupted by our small people we were able to catch up with friends and meet new people.  Topics ranged widely and the conversation cards on the table were a great way to learn more about each other and share a laugh.  We hope to make this a regular event, so please lookout for the next morning tea in term 2.

Information about the Parents and Friends Association

The role of the Parents and Friends Association is threefold:

  • to work in cooperation with the principal, staff and school council in building effective partnerships between home and school
  • to encourage diversity by getting to know the parents of other children at the school, and to support the operation of the school

The Parents and Friends Association welcomes any member of the school community who cares about our school and is willing to lead, or support, activities and events.  Meetings are held at least monthly from 7.30 pm, but attendance is not compulsory (minutes are emailed).
