Virtual Spring Concert

Virtual Spring Concert 2020

This year’s Music Spring Concert was live streamed on Thursday October 29 at 7pm. We are so proud of all our music students who participated in the prerecording of either their ensemble or solo acts. The instrumental music staff and students worked extra hard this year to produce such a fabulous virtual concert. Many of our music staff including myself quickly learnt how to use various technologies to create our performance items while all students needed to work mostly on their own in recording their parts and the motivation and quality was outstanding! Having the live chat feed for anyone to comment whilst watching the performances allowed our students to feel valued and encouraged. The concert is now on the school website for viewing.

Virtual Spring Concert Review

Hi. I’m Kaitlyn Steel and I was one of the music captains for this year! What a crazy year it has been! In the music program this year we have been constantly battling with playing an instrument online which is challenging enough even if it’s in person. We are one of the only schools that have done a live virtual concert even the private schools haven’t done one they just cancelled it for the year! With the advantages of it being online was there was a chat function where you could cheer on others and put positive comments in the chat. Thank you to all who came and watched and if you did here is the link to go watch it: https://youtu.be/z6tEdzf8Vx0

Signing out your 2020 Music Captain, Kaitlyn Steel.
