Building Works

The goal is to provide rich environments in which to grow better brains. - Andy Clark

It was quite exciting to come back to school last week and see the progress of our building works. If you came to the grounds over the holidays you might have seen that STELLA’s foundations have been dug, with footings due to be installed over the next few weeks. You might have also noticed that a portion of our undercover area has been excavated for the installation of a new accessible ramp to our main building, that will be completed before the end of term. What you might not have seen, is the works that have happened in our main building! We have new linoleum in our upstairs hallways and new carpet in a few of our classrooms (the other rooms are due to be completed in the next holidays), new staff toilets and our new student toilets are due to be finished by the beginning of Week 3.

Our school is certainly a ‘Work in Progress’ this year and while the construction has meant some disruptions such as teachers not being able to set up their rooms over the holidays, it is really exciting to see the improvements our school community has campaigned for, coming to fruition! Check the images below to see some progress shots - we've never been so excited about toilets!
