Upper Primary Learning

Term 3

Here we are at the end of another COVID- 19 term. Once again, it has been very challenging but everyone should be very proud of everything they have achieved over the term.

Over the past two terms, but this one in particular, it has been amazing to see the development of everyone’s skills, particularly with technology. This includes students, parents and staff. The level of work that has been produced has been amazing. Well done everybody.

I know it has not been easy, especially when it comes to the social side of things. The students have definitely missed their friends, but at the same time I think we should acknowledge the resilience of the students over this trying time. They have been wonderful.

It was great to see the students jump at the opportunity to be part of the virtual ‘Recess Sessions’.

Then we had the virtual excursions in the last week of term: Phillip Island, Disneyland, the Zoo and the Aquarium. These were very exciting and the students loved these experiences.

This term our new Class Captains were: UPA - Spencer, UPB - Oliver W, UPC - Billy K, UPD - Chloe B, UPE - Aidan, UPF - Naihi and in UPG - Angus.

The Upper Primary School Leaders were: Aleshia B (UPD) and Johnny (UPG).

The SRC Representatives were: UPA - Emma W, UPB - Jake H, UPC - Talia, UPD - Owen, UPE - Madison McD, UPF - Justin T and in UPG - Johnny.

It seems such a long, long time ago that we were all together learning on site, but in just three short weeks we will be there. I can’t wait to see all your smiling faces.

Let’s hope that we get some good weather over the school holidays and we can all put the technology away and get outside and enjoy some sunshine.
