Scholastic LOOP Bookclub - Issue 1 orders due TOMORROW!

Issue 1 LOOP Bookclub online orders are DUE TOMORROW Friday 17 February by 4pm! 

Library Borrowing

All classes and students attend the library once a week with their class teacher to borrow books to take home and read. Books are borrowed for 14 days and students may borrow the following number of books:

Prep            1 books for 14 days (until Term 3 then 2 books for 14 days)

Year 1 - Year 2   2 books for 14 days          

Year 3 - Year 6    4 books for 14 days

Each week overdue reminder notices are sent home to families with students who have not returned or renewed their school library books. Lost, damaged or missing books need to be replaced and the school asks for either a NEW book or monetary donation to recoup the loss, which can be made at the school office. If you have any queries regarding overdue or lost library books please contact your child's teacher or the school office - thank you!

Book donations

A big thank you to the Sears family for their most generous donation of beautiful pre-loved books. The school library is most grateful for these lovely books, which will be available for students to read and borrow soon. The library accepts good condition pre-loved children's book donations, so if your family has books your children no longer read then please consider donating them to the school library. 

Note:  Any donated books that are not added to the library collection are donated to the 123Read2Me charity.

Literary Events

Australia Reads presents the Australian Reading Hour 2023

On Thursday 9 March 2023, readers all over Australia will be spending an hour celebrating and sharing the joy of books. This is another great opportunity to read, enjoy great books and stories together, so make and take the time to READ on 9 March!!

CBCA Children's BOOK WEEK is August 19 - 25, 2023

The theme in 2023 is: READ GROW INSPIRE

Notables: announced Tuesday 28 February at 7pm AEDT

Shortlist: announced Tuesday 28 March at 12 noon AEDT

Winners and Honours: announced on Friday 18 August at 12 noon AEST
