2023 SCHOOL FEES STATEMENT

School Fees & Levies Statement have been sent home with your child, please check their school bag.  Attached below is a Direct Debit Authority Form and Concessional Fee Application Form. If any of these forms relate to you, please fill out and returned to the office as soon as possible. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact Erica.  

 

CSEF (Camps, Sports & Excursion Fund) - FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

CSEF is provided by the Victorian Government to assist eligible families to cover the costs of school camps, excursions and sporting activities.  If you hold a valid Centrelink Pensioner Concession Card or Health Care Card (CRN) you may be eligible for CSEF.  An application form is below, please fill it out and return to the school office by 8th April 2022.

 

ITALIAN OVERVIEW TERM 1 

Italian - Rapporti - Relationships

During Italian this term, students will focus on the Relationships theme - Rapporti. They will learn the names of the special people with whom they have a connection: ‘ mia mamma,’ ‘ mio papà,’ ‘mia sorella,’ ‘mio fratello,’ ‘mia nonna,’ ‘mio nonno’ ‘mio amico’, ‘mia amica’ and be guided through a conversation in Italian. 

Middle school students will be introduced to special words which enhance relationships: for example, ‘ti voglio bene,’ ‘scusa,’ ‘mi dispiace’, ‘buona giornata’, ‘prego’, ‘come stai?’, ‘bene grazie e lei’, ‘per favore’ and include them in their dialogue with a partner. 

Senior students will discuss factors necessary to maintain a relationship and create a floral collage with those factors.  

Students will also have the opportunity to introduce their friend, stating their name, age and likes to the class members in Italian. 

All students will also learn a special poem or prayer in Italian which will be read each lesson. Songs and puzzles also form part of the lessons.

 

PHYSICAL EDUCATION TERM 1 OVERVIEWS - PREP TO YEAR 3  (Chris Kidman)

Hi, my name is Chris Kidman and I am the Physical Education Teacher for Years Prep to Year 3.  During Physical Education this Term we are focusing on Minor games, Athletics and throwing and catching, in Prep, Year 1 and Year 2. 

The Year 3 class are learning new skills in Minor games and Athletics. They will be introduced to Shot put, Discus, Long Jump, Triple jump and High Jump. They will be involved in running races in preparation for the District Carnival later in the year. They will learn the rules and procedures for the game of Newcombe. The students will participate in a school Athletics Carnival on Thursday 2nd March and will wear their house colour T-shirt and sports uniform on this day. PHYSICAL EDUCATION TERM 1 OVERVIEWS - YEARS 4 TO 6(Simon Addicoat) 

Year 4s

Year 4 students in Term 1 2023 will examine two teams sports, Basketball and European Handball, in our one hour, weekly sessions.

Basketball skills focussed on in the unit will be dribbling, passing, shooting, offensive and defensive skills, and competitive fun matches will be played.  European Handball skills focussed on will be passing, moving with the ball, teamwork, shooting, goal keeping, and once again, modified, competitive matches played.

Year 5s

Year 5 students in Term 1 2023 will examine two team sports, Basketball and European Handball, in our one hour, weekly sessions.

European Handball skills focussed on will be passing, moving with the ball, teamwork and tactics, shooting, goal keeping, and once again, modified competitive matches played.

Year 6s

Year 6 student in Term 1 2023 will be taking part in a  term-long Basketball unit, where we not only conduct Basketball skill drills, and play full court 5-on-5 games, but we also look in depth at the different roles that make up  a competitive team. The students will examine roles such as Captain, Coach, scorers, statisticians, video recorders, etc…to help develop an appreciation for the many important and different roles people perform in making a team successful both on and off the court.
