As the calendar clicks over from February to March there is not a moment wasted at Banyan Fields Primary School with Year 3 and 5 students already participating in NAPLAN practice tests and classroom programs well and truly in full swing across the school. We have launched Little Learners Love Literacy in our Year Foundation and Year 1 Classrooms. So far it seems that both staff and students are enjoying the roll our of this new phonics based literacy program.

There is a new Foundation enrollment process that will be in place for students enrolling in primary school for 2024. With this in mind we will soon begin school tours and promotion activities for prospective families looking to enrol for 2024. I would like to encourage prospective families to contact our school office as we are almost ready to send out updated enrollment packs. 

I would like to ask for all students, staff and families to make attendance at school a prioity. We all want our students to get a great education, and the building blocks for a great education begin with students coming to school each and every day. If students miss school regularly, they miss out on learning the fundamental skills that will set them up for success in the later years of school. There is no safe number of days for missing school, each day a student misses puts them behind, and can affect their educational outcomes. Please contact your child's teacher if you have concerns or require support with regard to attendance at school.
