Celebrating Learning

Class 1 Steiner started our first main lessons for the year with a focus on our school’s Deadly Values and maths. We explored our school values through the text ‘Birds of the bush’ which followed native Australian birds solving problems by working together to demonstrate perseverance, trust, respect and integrity. 

Place value has come to life through storytelling while reading about ‘The magical land of jewels'. Students engaged with the story through retelling, illustrating and during active learning play. These hands-on activities have immersed students in the stories and enabled them to creatively explore the concepts.
