Class 3/4 Steiner–Celebrating Learning

The children of the newly formed 3/4S are travelling well. They’ve had time to get used to new and old surroundings and continue getting to know one another. Over the holidays the harvested wheat from the school garden hung upside down in sheaves. Due to readiness, 3/4S removed the grain heads and with 2/3S processed the wheat. As one large group we took comfort in the multipurpose room to thresh and winnow. The product of our labours, which began last year at the sewing stage, was a bag of wheat ready for milling and baking. We are so lucky to have these experiences in the Steiner inspired education stream.

The Measurement, Time and Money main lesson comes to a close this week and we start a short unit on Hebrew narratives.
