Sovereign Hill

As 5/6 camp rapidly approaches, we are providing learning opportunities for our children to experience what it would have been like to live during the Australian Gold Rush. We have been enjoying participating in an activity called 'Show Us Yer License', where children are assigned a job and role play a character. They navigate certain scenarios that would have occurred during this time era and they are realising the harsh, unfair nature of the gold fields. We are practising a number of skills involving communication, balancing money and making financial decisions.
