Humanities Focus

We all have amazing stories to tell..

This term, we have been learning how the people that lived here shaped our nation’s identity. They  investigated how different individuals and groups have contributed to Australia’s identity over time and how Australia has changed as a country. They also considered the different perspectives of the people that travelled to our country (where they originated from and their reasons for migrating to Australia) as well as the perspectives of Indigenous Australians.

This culminated in a 'Family Suitcase' task that involved children creating a suitcase, interviewing family members, investigating traditions  and telling family stories. 

The Family Suitcase project is due Thursday 13th June with an Expo showcasing student work on Tuesday 25th June @ 12:20pm. We hope to see you there!
