Resource Centre News

A hive of activity!

It’s been a busy fortnight in the Resource Centre!

Over the last few weeks at recess and lunchtime our Resource Centre has been an absolute hive of activity. Whether escaping the cold, attracted to the board games, or using the Study Rooms to collaborate on projects, the Resource Centre is proving a real hub. It’s wonderful to see students from all year levels brought together in this safe, warm space.

Last week saw the completion of our first giant jigsaw puzzle. Students from K through to 12 (and a few staff members!) put on their puzzle hats and completed our massive map of Australia. The next puzzle is even trickier – watch this space to hear how it goes…

The 2017 NSW Premier’s Reading Challenge has begun.

The PRC runs every year and aims to challenge students to read more, and to read more widely. Once a student enters the PRC they record the number of books that they have read from March 5 to August 25. Students must read a certain number of books from the official Premier’s Reading Challenge list, but can also read a certain number of Personal Choice books.

Information is available here on the PRC website

Students are encouraged to visit the Resource Centre and register to participate. Those who complete the challenge will receive a certificate of achievement signed by Premier Gladys Berejiklian.
