PFA News

Every one is welcome to be part of the PFA activities in 2016. You don't have to come to meetings to be part of the team.

Some of the ways in which we will assist the JMSS community in 2016 are listed here. We are highly valued for our tea and coffee making and BBQ skills. We are hoping Bunnings might feature again this year but it's not yet listed as we don't have a confirmed date.  Please indicate if you can help at any of the events.

Some social and fundraising events will be slotted in during the year. If you have any contacts or suggestions for these, please contact us, as we are always ready to try new ideas. PFA membership fees can be paid with your school fees, and you can also send $20 to the office to join and enjoy the benefits.

We need a person to organise the Entertainment Book this year. Interested? Please email us.

PFA Calendar of Events

16 February @ 7pm - Meet the Mentor for Year 10’s. PFA provide refreshments, so join us for a cuppa.

16 March @ 7pm - VCE Parent Forum. PFA provide refreshments.

29 April - Harmony Day BBQ.  PFA volunteers required from 10.30am - 1.30pm to do the BBQ.

4 May 2016 - Information Night for potential students, Robert Blackwood Hall. PFA to be on hand to answer questions from prospective parents.

Tuesday 10th May -  Year 10 Science Exhibition Night from 5pm to 7pm.  PFA provide refreshments.

TBA October - Information Night for New Parents. PFA provide refreshments.

24 & 25 October  -  JMSS Science Fair (5pm - 8pm).  PFA provide refreshments.

TBA November - PFA AGM (cheese/wine/finger food/farewell to Year 12 members).

30 November - New Year 10 Orientation Day. PFA volunteers required to do the BBQ.

9 December - JMSS Presentation Night. PFA prepares photo gift in advance. 

PFA Meetings

We meet on Tuesdays at 7pm on the ground floor at JMSS. The automatic doors are sometimes locked at that time, so if you are stuck outside try coming around to the staff entrance and checking in the window of the staff room.
