Position Available - Defence School Mentoring Program
I am very pleased to announce that we have received funding from the Department of Defence to employ a mentor to support our Defence students and families to minimise the impact that the military lifestyle can have on these children.
The role will be known as a Defence School Mentor (DSM) and will commence at the beginning of next year and run for the full year.
The program aims to provide:
• facilitation of a supportive educational environment for Defence families during times of change;
• establishment of ongoing programs and resources for use during and beyond the life of the Program;
• linkage of Defence families into their local school community; and
• provision of education resources to support the Defence student’s wellbeing.
The position is being advertised and the Job Description can be obtained from the front office from January 21st 2019.
The role will commence in February and continue over the school year. It will be approximately 10 hours a week, with days/times to be negotiated.

Year 7 Graduation
This year we had 60 Year 7’s graduate. Their graduation consisted of a cruise and dinner on the West Lakes Princess (West Lakes), followed by a formal ceremony back in the school hall. We were privileged to have the Deputy Leader of the Opposition, Susan Close as our special guest.
Both Susan and Mark Butler (Federal Member for Port Adelaide) donated prizemoney for our outstanding students. Jake A won the overall school excellence award. Congratulations Jake.
