Yakult Factory Excursion

Wednesday 16 May

Year 12 Business Management students visited the Yakult factory as part of their studies into Operations Management.

They were given a tour of the factory and were able to sample Yakult’s product and find out more about how this business makes their probiotic drink.

Students looked at the inputs, process and outputs of Yakult, the technology and quality systems in place and discussed corporate social responsibility.

In their upcoming SAC and for the End-of-Year examination, students will be able to utilise the information they discovered on the excursion.

Immigration Museum Excursion

The 10 History Globalising World class participated in sessions at the Immigration Museum relating to the arrival of immigrants to Victoria.

Their major study this term is on 'Migration experiences'.  Students discussed immigration patterns from the 1850s to the 2000s.

As well as being given the opportunity to dress up in period costume, students took note on various immigration policies and documents that were displayed at the museum.

Students can now utilise this knowledge in class and in upcoming assessments.
