TERM 2
VCE Premier's Award Winner
I had the privilege of attending the VCE Premier’s Awards at the Melbourne Convention Centre on Tuesday May 15 to see Jemarod Brown (Year 12) receive a Premier’s award for Systems Engineering.
Students who earn a study score of 50 out of a possible 50 are awarded a Premier’s Award.
There were only 274 recipients from a 2017 cohort of over 50,000 students across the state in both independent and government schools.
Jemarod achieved this as a Year 11 student. He is completing the remainder of his Year 12 this year.
A hearty congratulations to Jemarod for such an amazing achievement. Congratulations also to his family and teachers for their support and encouragement.
Year 11 Presentation Balls
Last weekend the annual Year 11 Presentation Balls took place at The Centre Ivanhoe, with over 1000 people in attendance across both nights.
The couples looked stunning in their dresses and suits and after many rehearsals, danced beautifully.
Thanks to parents and families for your support and special thanks to Dani Devine and Natalie Roetman who every year do an amazing job at organising the entire evening.
Thanks also to the VCE team and to Jess Timmers and Paul Hager who hosted the evenings.
Student Progress
With just over 5 weeks to go until the end of the term and semester, I encourage all students to take stock, check in with their teachers and ensure all work is up to date.
Teachers are very happy to assist with concepts and work tasks. Students only need to email them or go to their staffroom to seek help.
Please check the 'Ready To Learn' posters up in all rooms. The criteria for earning a satisfactory in all subjects is clearly listed.
