BAIRNSDALE SCHOOL SHOOTING COMPETITION
The Lilydale High Shooting Team relaxing between targets.
A group of 4 students, some parents and Mr Bennett travelled to Bairnsdale Sunday morning, for a Field and Game shooting event. The main goal being to familiarize themselves with the local ground and to get a little practice in prior to the 'Gippsland Region School Shoot' to be held on Monday 14 May.
On Monday morning, a further 2 students travelled up with Mr Box for the event, leaving school just before 6:00 am to arrive in time for the event.
Our students performed very well on the day. Taylah Tillotson, who has only recently started shooting, showed tremendous form for a new comer and got third in the Junior Girls event.
We would like to thank the Bairnsdale Field and Game Club for their invitation to the event and hope to attend again next year.
Despite being a little cold and windy, all students had a great day.
Some pictures from the day are shown, along with some additional pictures from our local event 2 weeks prior.

Aiming high at the
Bairnsdale Field and Game shoot.
A crowd gathers for the shoot off in the Junior Girls finals. Shooting in front of such crowds is a nerve wracking aspect of competition that shooters must accomplish.
Taylor came third in the Junior Girls category.
Taking a moment to gather their thoughts!
