I commenced my learning at Oakleigh Grammar in Year 7 in 1999, and graduated in 2004. Following my OG education, I studied a Bachelor of Science at Monash University, followed by a Masters in Teaching at LaTrobe University. I joined the Oakleigh Grammar teaching staff in 2009.

Oakleigh Grammar is a very special place for me. It has played a significant role in forming my decision to be an educator, because it was this very school that nourished my love of learning and serving others.

Over the years, our School has undergone many changes, whilst always holding true to its Orthodox Christian Faith and Hellenic roots. I am proud to have been part of the journey of change and growth. I continue to learn and grow, and have really enjoyed being part of the IB Middle Years Programme. I am honoured and privileged to have been lead by an exceptional leader, and work with a team of hard-working and dedicated staff, who time and time again are not afraid to take on the new challenges they face.

During my time at Oakleigh Grammar, I have been provided with various opportunities to grow and challenge myself, taking on various responsibilities. I have taught across the Middle and Senior School in a wide range of subjects. I have been the eLearning Coordinator and overseen the implementation of an iPad Program, run professional development for staff, and been part of the upgrade in ICT infrastructure.

Over the last 4 years, I have been blessed to be the Coordinator of Years 6 and 7. This is a pastoral role that has been growing and developing over the years, to really cultivate the wellbeing of our students, integrating our Orthodox Christian Values, 7 Habits, MYP Learner Attributes and Approaches to Learning, as well as best practice. I feel confident that our students in Years 6 and 7 are becoming well rounded people who are learning the benefit of serving others, and the importance of honesty and responsibility.

I really love my job, rather, I don’t see it as a job but a service to those young people and their families. I wholeheartedly believe that education is a partnership, and one that is the most important for our children. My office door is always open and I am always here to have a chat.

I too send my children to Oakleigh Grammar, not because I am a member of staff, but because I believe in what our School stands for and is. I am confident in the quality teaching and learning programs, but more importantly, that my children will be developed in spirit and soul, as well as mind. Oakleigh Grammar certainly is the school for me and my family. I strongly encourage you if you are not already doing so, to support the beautiful treasure that is our School.
