Dear Parents and Guardians

Anaphylaxis awareness week was held during May. Many allergens can be the trigger for anaphylaxis which is a life threatening condition. The most common are nut containing products. To assist the College to continue to minimise the risk to our students with anaphylaxis we ask you to be ‘nut aware’ and please be mindful about not sending nut products to school. Students are reminded not to share their food.

Gastroenteritis is highly contagious and can be very debilitating in the very young and elderly. Please be aware if your son has had gastroenteritis we request your son remains at home for 24hrs after the last episode of diarrhoea to reduce the likelihood of cross contamination.

Cough, cold and flu season is upon us. Regular washing of hands before and after food consumption can help minimise person to person spread. If your son is displaying flu-like symptoms please seek advice from your doctor before sending your son to school.

Asthma sufferers are reminded to carry their Ventolin with them.
