Year 12 Congratulations!

Our Year 12 students have started the final leg of their schooling with the commencement of exams last Wednesday.

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate them and wish them luck with all of their exams.

I would also like to extend my congratulations to each and every one of them for the wonderful end of year festivities that took place.  The conduct of all was a great example to the rest of the students – this year’s costumes were particularly interesting to say the least.

My thanks to the VCE team and teaching staff who have gone above and beyond to ensure that everyone has the best opportunity to succeed.

Cybersafe - Party safe

Please ensure your child is monitored online particularly in relation to being invited to ‘organised’ parties.

Whilst these parties may appear to be structured and well supervised, I would urge parents/carers to check all aspects of these functions carefully.

S and N - all students

We are continuing to encourage all students to ensure they are aiming for a ‘Satisfactory’ in every subject. The way in which to do this is to:

  • Be in class on time
  • Take all equipment
  • Have a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Persist with their work
  • Complete all work set for them
  • Complete all homework
  • Do the best possible with their assessments

I encourage all students to self monitor and check their progress in every subject by writing in the planner, checking Compass and speaking with their teachers.

Those students who are deemed ‘unsatisfactory’ in two or more subjects will need to attend an interview with parents/guardians and coordinators later this year to discuss their progress and plan for the future.
