Principal's Report
From The Principal
The first 4 weeks of Term 3 have flown by and as always there have been many great learning activities for Carwatha College P-12 students. Our Grade 4 to 6 students visited the Shrine of Remembrance and the Ian Potter Gallery while our Year 7s undertook an excursion to the Aquarium to complement their learning in science. Year 9 students will be completing a Geography field trip and the Primary Science fair will run on Wednesday the 16/8. A Casual day was run by the SRC to raise funds for both the College and their chosen charities. The VCAL class are busy planning for their walk from the City to the College and are training once per week to ensure they last the distance.
This week will also see tryouts for our Football Academy, it is not too late to be a part of this great program, just visit our website for further details should you be interested.
In the coming Weeks we have the Presentation Ball – a great family night out and very exciting for the 32 couples we have participating this year. The dance instructors have again chosen some great music and are working well with the students to ensure a great night for all.
On Tuesday September 5th the College will hold its Multi-Cultural assembly at 8.45am in the main gym. Students are encouraged to wear their national costumes and many students and a handful of brave staff will perform. Parents are very welcome at this assembly. It promises to be a great day.
