District Athletics
What an Effort! Cold and Wet, but in a beautiful location in Mount Evelyn.
In leading up to District Athletics, the Year 3s to 6s received few opportunities to practise before the athletics events due to adverse weather conditions. Despite this, the students were excited to participate in the District Athletics.
Holy Family competed with six other schools in our district. The best results were the senior 12-13 boys, who will all progress to Divisions in mid-September. Placing first in their event were: Rotana, who will compete in the 200m run, Stefan in the 800m, Tadhg in High Jump, and Nathaniel coming second in the Triple Jump.
The most exciting moment of the day was the final event, the 12-13-year-old boys relay, where Holy Family won by a whisker thanks to the effort of all four boys: Nathaniel, Stefan, Ian and Rotana.
