Prep Patrick Cusack | Collaborative Award - This week you have shown what a wonderful and collaborative classmate you have become in Prep. Since coming back from your big family holiday, Miss Steph and I have seen you learn and play beautifully with your friends. Thank you for bringing so much joy into our classroom! |
Junior K Hayley McCrohan | Determined Award - for showing so much determination when summarising a novel. You got stuck a few times, but you kept going and asked lots of questions to help you. I’m proud of you for not giving up and challenging yourself. |
Junior S Perseus Gatsis | Creative Award - for your ‘one of a kind’ retell of Hansel and Gretel! Not only did you work super hard to include a beginning, problem and solution to your story, but you also creatively adapted the characters and the setting! Well done Persie!! |
Middle LT Havana Hadjistamatis | Proactive Award - The way you proactively ask questions when you are learning, especially in maths! It is fantastic that you keep asking and clarifying until you are sure that you understand. You have the qualities of a great learner. |
Senior B Lucia White | Curious Award - for asking lots of questions and gaining clarification during reading sessions. Lucia is currently completing a reading reflection and has been asking focused questions and revising and editing her work to make sure it’s perfect. Well done Lucia, you have really impressed me this week! |
LOTE Prep | Curious Award - Always asking great questions and being so focused on your colour tasks. I was impressed this week with how quickly you got to work on your rainbow maze and colour drawing activities. It’s fabulous to hear each week about how much you love finding out about colours! Well done Preps! |
Visual Arts Name Damian Nakic | Creative Award - for Showing creativity and determination with the pieces he creates in Art. He is rising to the creative challenge every week. Creative Award - to Zahra Lania for always dazzling your new art teacher with the care, thought and skill you put into every piece of work you create. Determined Award to Indigo Floyd for always showing enthusiasm for all of our art activities and for showing fabulous determination to improve her skills. |
PE Class Name Senior L | Curious Learner Award - for showing great maturity, creativity as well as being motivated and curious learners, especially after having our soccer lesson cancelled due to the weather. Well done on your flexibility and resilience. |
STEM Class Name Preps | Creative Learner Award - for Showing wonderful and impressive creativity and imagination during our session on how caterpillars grow. You followed instructions carefully, and came up with imaginative and original responses and ideas to create a card that showed a caterpillar growing. |

Prep Ash Casamento | Respectful Award - During our police liaison visit you showed your strengths as a respectful listener and learner. You participated in the discussion with some fantastic responses and listened to others with patience and respect. You consistently show respect in our school when speaking with students and staff. Well don Ash! |
Junior K Harry Spence | Responsible Award - for showing so much responsibility for your learning. You have been so focused and enthusiastic, especially in Maths. You have been learning to tell the time and how to multiply and divide like an absolute champion. I am so proud of you. Keep it up, Harry. |
Junior S Ethan Patterson | Respectful Award - For your fantastic listening skills, both in a small group and as a whole class. You never talk over anyone and always respond to students ideas and opinions in a respectful manner. You also show a great deal of respect to the space that you work in. You are always so willing to help out around the classroom and work diligently to keep the space clean and tidy! Well done Ethan! |
Middle A Max Hall | Respectful Award - Max you have been outstanding in your respectful behaviour towards staff and students. You should be so proud about how you present yourself towards others. Thank you for being so encouraging and supportive in the classroom, you are a great friend! Well done |
Middle LT Sophia Kanellakis | Resilience Award - your resilience and hard work. I have been amazed all week with your positive attitude and confidence that you can do any task. Senior B Audrey Uren | Respectful Award - for demonstrating exceptional manners and appreciation to our staff at St Joey’s! It does not go unnoticed and makes you an asset to our school! Keep it up Audrey :)! |
Senior L Maria Parisis | Respectful Award - for your display of positive energy and support during our district athletics sports day. You cheered everyone on and spoke words of encouragement to all peers. You also helped the younger students make sure they were on time for their events. I am so proud of the leader you have become! LOTE Joey Casamento Jacob Rajab | Curious Award - For your brillant Mid-Autumn Festival menus. I was impressed not only with your canva skills but your intrigue about popular Chinese dishes such as chicken feet, deep fried ice-cream and moon cakes. We had a lot of interesting discussions about the origins of different dishes from around the world and how most of them were actually from China. Well done! |
PE Class Name Junior S | Collaborative Learner Award For being very cooperative and working smoothly with others. You worked with others in a team to come up with strategies and share ideas on how to best succeed in our games as well as supporting and assisting your classmates with kind and positive words.. |
STEM Class Name THE SENIORS | Collaborative Learner Award - For cooperating and working well together during our Aviation unit. You supported each other, shared ideas and equipment as well as materials. You were cooperative and helped and consistently assisted others. |
