DESIGN TECHNOLOGY TEXTILES – Year 8 Yarn-work Project 

Over the last few weeks in Textiles we have been looking at fibres, fabrics and yarn. Students were able to choose a focus skill in either knitting or crochet work. Well done to all students who were able to learn these very difficult skills and turn them into functioning products – such as mug coasters! 

Just a reminder to students and parents in Year 8 Textiles that next term we will be looking at dye-work skills and how to tie dye. For this unit students are invited to supply a white cotton item (such as a t-shirt).
