GIPPSLAND REGIONAL ATHLETICS

On the 6th of September, students who qualified attended the Gippsland Regional Athletics event in Newborough, Victoria. Although the wind was chilly, it was a sunny day and conditions on the track were good. Students from KSC participated in 16 events across both the track and field.

Congratulations to the following students who took medals home:

Charlee Walker (Year 12) – 2nd Girls 18-20 Shot Put

Bianca Monson (Year 10) – 1st Girls 16 High Jump

Siena Lane (Year 10) – 3rd Girls 16 100m

Moneve Egeberg (Year 9) – 2nd Girls 15 Long Jump

Charlotte Anthony (Year 9) – 2nd Girls 14 Discus, 2nd Girls 14 Shot Put, 2nd Girls 14 Javelin

Addison Venten (Year 8) – 3rd Girls 14 Hurdles

Evan Belvedere (Year 7) – 2nd Boys 12-13 Hurdles

A special mention goes to Charlotte Anthony (Year 9) who qualified and competed in three events and walked away with three second place medals.

Bianca Monson of Year 10 jumped beautifully in her high jump event and took away the top honours. She will now go on to represent KSC at the State Finals in October. We wish you all the very best for your next event. Congratulations Bianca!

On the day, all students demonstrated resilience and their ability to strive for excellence, and some even achieved their PB’s on the day. Congratulations to all who attended.
