The Beaumaris North Primary School’s Child Safety Policy demonstrates our school’s commitment to creating and maintaining a child safe and child-friendly organisation, where children and young people are safe and feel safe. This policy provides an overview of our school’s approach to implementing Ministerial Order 1359 (PDF, 363KB) which sets out how the Victorian Child Safe Standards apply in school environments.

Child Safety Code of Conduct

Child-Safety-Code-of-Conduct-June-2022.pdf (beaumarisnorthps.vic.edu.au)

Our Child Safety Code of Conduct sets out the expected behaviour of adults with children and young people in our school. All Beaumaris North Primary School staff, volunteers, contractors, service providers, school council members and any other adult involved in child-connected work must follow the Child Safety Code of Conduct.

Animal Therapy Policy

We have two policies relating to dogs in our school:

  • For the safety and care of dogs within our school community, please ensure you are up to date with our BNPS Dogs in the school yard policy. BNPS-DOGS-IN-THE-SCHOOLYARD-POLICY.pdf (beaumarisnorthps.vic.edu.au). Dogs must be kept on a hand held leash at all times within the school in line with Bayside City Council bylaws and are not allowed to enter the buildings.
