Memphis Webb
Memphis Webb, Year 9, recently represented South Australia at the School Sport Australian Football (AFL) Championships in Ballarat. Memphis played extremely well throughout the tournament, securing a position in 'best players' across two consecutive days and even kicked the winning goal on Wednesday (after the siren)! The SA team walked away from the competition securing the bronze medal, beating Victoria to secure a podium finish. Congratulations to Memphis for being selected, playing extremely well and helping the team secure 3rd place.

Caillin Watterson
Congratulations to Caillin Watterson, Year 11, for winning the The Young Writers Award for 2023. Her poem, entitled Parts of Me, will be published in the Young Writers Special Edition of SAETA’s Journal, OPINION. Caillin will be able to celebrate her success at the annual Young Writers Award Presentation Night on Friday, 18th August, at which she will be presented with her certificate and complimentary copy of the publication.
What an accomplishment! Way to go Caillin!
Abbey Jones
In the school holidays, Abbey Jones, Year 10, competed in the National Basketball Championships in Perth for the Under 16 Girls State Basketball Team. The SA girls team made it into the grand final, securing the win against Victoria, 71-55. Abbey had a fabulous game pulling 15 pts, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists. Congratulations Abbey and team for securing the national title!
