We have seen some great weather this week and I have noticed a number of classes taking the classroom program out into our lovely grounds. In the mornings before school we have been noticing a number of students arriving before 8.45am. I will take this opportunity to remind families that staff supervision in the yard begins at 8.45 and therefore students should not be on school grounds unless a parent or guardian is present. I would like to ask all families to factor this in to morning routines so that students are not onsite without supervision before school. Big Childcare provide an onsite before school care program for families that may want to access this service before 8.45am.
A very special celebration took place this week with our Foundation students celebrating being at school for 100 days. They celebrated by dressing up as ‘old people’ and looked spectacular! Congratulations to our Foundation students, we are so proud to see you reach this big milestone. Well done also to our very dedicated and supportive staff who have helped our youngest students to thrive. A big shout out also to the families who organised all of the great costumes and have helped them to have such a great start to their education.
On Friday 28 July we planted a variety of native trees and shrubs out the front of the school as part of Schools National Tree Day. Students from across the school got involved with planting and I would like to thank Ms Ashleigh Alward and Ms Belinda Tonkin for all of their work in coordinating this for our school.
