Assistant Principal Report - Junior School
Mrs June Sainsbery
Year 7 students are off to Kyneton this week to participate in Year 7 camp. There are lots of activities that will foster positive relationships and resilience. Students often return from camp with fond memories, and I look forward to hearing lots of stories next week.
Year 8 students are involved in the Year 8 Engagement Program this week. The week has got off to a great start. There is a variety of activities that students will participate in. One of the highlights from day one was the ‘bubble soccer’.
Year 8 and 9 students are in the process of completing their course selections for 2024. For the Year 8 students, this means choosing elective subjects to complement their core studies of English, Maths, Science and Humanities. For Year 9 students, this means selecting electives to complement core studies of English and Mathematics; or applying for the vocational stream at Year 10. Students are encouraged to talk to their teachers and co-ordinators to help support their decision-making.
Year 7 & 9 NAPLAN
