'Students at St. Anthony’s are encouraged to: • Hold high expectations for themselves; • Respect each other; • Approach each day positively; • Be the best that they can be; • Be honest in all they think, say and do; • Respect others; • Play a fair game; • Be caring and encouraging of others; • Think about the possible effects of their words and actions before they speak or act; • Respect their school; and • Look after the school's resources'.
It has been a wonderful start to the year with students participating in a range of engaging games and activities with a main focus on skills, strategies and sportsmanship. They have pushed through the weather conditions and have shown brilliant team work and resilience. A huge thank you to the majority of students who are remembering to bring their hat and drink bottle each week!
For Term One, students have been focusing on:
PREP: Class Rules, Locomotor, Kicking and Cooperative Games
ONE/TWO: Catching/Throwing, Locomotor and Cooperative Games
THREE/FOUR: Net and Wall Sports (Four Square, Tennis and Volleyball)
FIVE/SIX: Net and Wall Sports (Badminton, Tennis and Volleyball)
