Message from the Principal

St Anthony’s Parish and St Anthony’s School hold the care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people as central and fundamental responsibilities of the Church. St Anthony’s is fully compliant with all policies in relation to Child Safety. These documents ensure compliance with the Victorian Government Child Safety Standards which took effect on 1 January 2017 and reflect our Parishes’ ongoing commitment to ensuring that all children are safe, happy and empowered.

Dear Families and Friends of St Anthony's,

We are certainly experiencing unprecedented times, however once again during this past week our community has demonstrated resilience and flexibility.  I am truly blessed to be here at St Anthony’s and part of such a supportive community.

We were all very excited to welcome our students back to school on Thursday. There were many happy smiling faces as they entered the school in the morning.

I would like to thank all staff for their work preparing learning opportunities for our students and to thank all families for the support they provide their children during the five day lockdown.

It is very important that we continue to maintain COVID safe practices which include:

  • Washing or sanitising hands before and after eating
  • Wearing a fitted face mask when indoors
  • Practising physical distancing

CAMP

Unfortunately our Year 5/6 students missed out on going to camp this week. We are waiting on Camp Rumbug to provide us replacement dates. We will share the new dates as soon as we can confirm them with Rumbug.

Prep and Year 5/6 Buddy BBQ

We have a tentative date for our Prep and Year Five & Six Buddy BBQ. Pending on restrictions, it will be held at school on Monday 1st March at 5pm until 6pm. The BBQ will be held next to the Adventure Playground and near the Community Hub. It promises to be a great opportunity for our Preps to spend with their new Year 5/6 buddies and for their families to get to know one another. We look forward to seeing as many families there as possible.

Enhancing Catholic School Identity Survey - Your chance to win a $100 voucher for your family

Over the next few weeks our staff, students and parents and carers will be invited to complete a survey about the Catholic Identity of St Anthony’s.

The survey results will guide our future teaching, learning and faith formation in Religious Education. This year we would love to hear from as many families as we can and therefore we invite all families who wish to participate in the survey to do so.

The following options are available for families to enable them to engage in the survey.

  1. Use the information handout that has login details and instructions for completing the survey to do the survey at home ( the sheet will be sent home next week for families) OR
  2. Join staff members in the Community Hub on either Wednesday 10th March between 2.30pm and 3.30pm or Monday 15th March between 9am and 10am so that we can have a coffee or tea together and assist you to complete the survey

If you would like to book please email me at erin.nagel@sanoblepark.catholic.edu.au

Once you have completed the survey, print the completion certificate, write your name, contact details, your child’s name and class on the back and bring it to the office to place into the survey competition box for a chance to win a $100 voucher for your family.

Prayer for families:

Have a fabulous weekend.

God Bless,
