PARENT INFORMATION EVENING - Onsite

Thank you to those parents who were able to attend our Parent Information Night last night. We hope that this helps you build connections within our school community and puts a friendly face to some of our new staff and families.

Events like this require a lot of preparation and commitments from our staff and we thank them for all the work they have done to provide such a professionally presented Information Night.

For example, SMITH 1234.

Thank you to everyone that has paid to date.

Please contact Mrs Robyn Burke on 6766 1500 or email rburke@arm.catholic.edu.au if you have any queries or wish to discuss your account.

STUDENT ABSENCE

Please notify the school if your child is absent.  This can be done using the 'Add Attendance Note' function in the Compass Parent Portal. Due to government legislation, notification of your child's absence must be received no later than 7 days after your child's last day of absence.

Please note that if you are collecting your child early from school for an appointment you must sign the child out using the Compass kiosk in the office. Please do not use the Parent Portal to try and record that your child will be leaving early as this inadvertently  marks them as them as being absent all day.

COMMUNICATION WITH SCHOOL

Our office is open between 8.00am and 4.00pm each day.  For any queries, the most efficient way of contacting our staff during this time is via email.

CHANGE OF DETAILS

We ask all parents to please log into Compass or contact the office to advise us of an any changes to phone numbers, addresses or student medical details.

SUPERVISION OF STUDENTS

All parents need to be aware, our supervision of students

does not begin until 8.15am each day.

If your child/ren require care before 8.15am you now have access to before school care here at school with Esteem  Please organise alternative care for your child if your child requires supervision before 8.15am.

With before school care now available to parents and with a duty of care to staff and students, from week 6 onwards (next week), St Nicholas School gates will not be open until the arrival of the first school bus at approximately 8.10am. It is not appropriate for children to be at school before this time with no supervision.

LIVING WELL, LEARNING WELL

As part of our implementation of the 'Living Well, Learning Well' Framework at St Nicholas Primary School, we will be taking some time to focus on each rule for a week. Our first rule that we will be focusing on next week will be "I am Safe"

If you could take some time to discuss with your child how they can be safe and ensure the safety of others at school, that would be appreciated. It is important that all children feel safe when they come to school each day,
